The Life and Times. . .

I've been drafted to run the power point presentation at tonight's Augusta Care Pregnancy Center fall banquet. When first approached about this task I, of course, said "no, I really shouldn't" and the enlister, of course, saw that I did not speak as one with authority. So the question was asked again in a less interrogative manner and a more imperitive one and so now the city's pro-life faithful and the former attorney general of Kansas will be treated to many moments of awkward anxiety and mumbled summons for persons of competence.

Would you have been so confident Mom if you had known that I would end up being the "sound guy" as well? I really enjoyed the evening - I wish you and all the world could have been there to hear and take in all that was reported, testified, said, sung, pledged, and prayed. A great, great ministry is being done down here by this center - I thank God for it all the time.

I remember the first time I ran a powerpoint for my Dad when he was teaching a Sunday school class at our old church. It wasn't really powerpoint it was an old projector with the transparent pages...... I remember them sliding off and getting all out of order. It wasn't a good experience.
